When you plan a wedding in March, you certainly can’t count on the weather to be the highlight of your day. Surprisingly though, for Jessica and Matt, the weather on their day was outstanding. Funny enough, Jessica had emailed me prior to her wedding and had mentioned to me that even if we took photos under umbrellas on a grey and rainy day, she was fully expecting that her wedding images would turn out as beautiful as any.
I love hearing such optimism from my couples, because in the end – we cannot control mother nature!

These two were worried that they weren’t photogenic!

Loved Jessie’s nylons!

Location: Manderley On The Green Golf Course/Watson’s Mill Manotick
Dress: Allure from Ferre Sposa in Toronto
Shoes: Spring
Suit: Tom’s Place in Toronto
I must also mention that dinner was out of this world! Jessica’s mother was the one responsible for full bellies and many fingers licked clean. Hands down – best wedding dinner I’ve ever experienced!
After so many hours of hard work, it’s extremely rewarding to receive an email such as this one. Thank you Jessie and Matt for your kind words!
Matt and I are back from our honeymoon, and just wanted to send you a quick note to say how much FUN we had with you and Chris! I’m still so surprised by the sunny, beautiful day we had, and I’m glad that we were able to take some fun photos outside as well. In particular, I appreciated the encouragement and laid-back approach you took; it made sitting in the middle of an haunted mill, surrounded by dated Christmas decorations, on an unseasonably warm March day, wearing a giant swatch of tulle, and gazing soulfully at the guy I see everyday wearing comic hero t-shirts dressed in a suit seem like the most natural thing to be doing at that moment, and for that I am super-grateful. I didn’t think I would feel that confident, since I’m usually not one for having my photo taken, but I felt awesome! I know Matt is a bit shy and I could see that he was totally into it, which is wonderful.
Thanks again for everything – working with you was a great experience!
