Lisa & Marc :: Engagement

I met both Lisa and Marc quite a few months ago and they were such a genuine couple. The two of them compete in the dragon boat races and will incorporate that theme into their wedding in September scheduled to take place at Camp Fortune (a ski hill in Quebec). It’s going to be beautiful, I can see it already…(and not just because it won’t be covered in snow haha!!)

When I met up with the two of them last weekend for their engagement shoot, Lisa mentioned that her brother is engaged to my step-cousin! What a small world!

Here are a few pictures we took at the Cumberland Museum:

Erika :: Maternity

Erika is my sister’s good friend. When I first started my business I needed to get some example shots of kids and teens so I decided to use Erika’s handsome son, Cameron as one. Although this time, even though we decided to incorporate Cameron in some of the pictures, he wasn’t the star of the day (yet he is still just as handsome) – his mom and her belly was!

Erika is expecting her baby in just about 3 weeks! I am so happy that we finally found the time to shoot her maternity because her date is coming quick! Can’t wait to find out what that little monkey inside of her will be…

I knew that Erika would be up for anything I wanted her to do for these pictures since she ran a 42k marathon at 7 months pregnant! Wowza! Way to go Erika!

Alison & Adam :: Wedding

The year is 1927, Perth and the local area’s social elite are dressed in their finest gowns and suits. They are together on the back terrace of the home of local millionaire John A. Stewart. Lavishly dining and mingling over exquisite wine next to the stone fountain of the mansion that is now called the Perth Manor, a gorgeous boutique hotel…

WHOA! I just don’t know where to start when it comes to Alison and Adam’s wedding day. The location was magical, and I have to say definitely one of my favorite places to shoot a wedding ever! The entire day’s events unfolded around the Perth Manor with a little exception of a little trip over to the Stewart Park (donated to the town by the owners of the manor).

Alison and Adam are a beautiful, happy couple. They were so much fun to work with and the day was a great success. Everything fell perfectly into place from the weather, to the lovely ceremony, to the delicious dinner. It was a pleasure to be a part of their big day! Here are the pictures to prove it!

Love this shot of Alison’s father walking her down the aisle, they both look so content!

The interior of the manor is rich in history and elegantly decorated with vintage furniture and artwork. Even the sounds of the music of the roaring twenties filled the air. It was almost like a journey back in time.

Shawna & Andrew :: Wedding

Mother nature seems to be confused about it being the month of July with below normal temperatures and the excessive amount of rain we’ve been getting lately. On Shawna and Andrew’s big day it was a mere 15 degrees! Lucky for them the rain stopped just in time for their outdoor ceremony and the rest of the afternoon.

The whole day was spent in Shawna’s parents backyard in the small town of Russell. The lovely ceremony by Rev. Ron Hunt was also exceptionally delightful. He definitely knows how to put smiles on everyone’s faces! Before long, we were out in fields of beautiful yellow flowers and old silos for pictures.

Sarah & Dave :: Engagement

I always have so much fun at every session that I shoot, but I don’t remember the last time I laughed as much as I did during Sarah and Dave’s engagement session! The were both great to work with and were so eager to try anything I came up with (despite being eaten alive by mosquitos!). It was a TON of fun! Sarah is so bubbly and giggly which makes her a perfect compliment to her beau Dave who is a more quiet and calm type of guy.

Sarah and Dave have decided to get married in October of 2011 because their anniversary happens to land on a Saturday that year! How romantic :)

Sarah really liked the idea of a picture lying in the grass – no problem!
