Nikyla & Kenny :: Wedding

I’m back and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the wedding season then with a destination wedding in Punta Cana!

First off, I want to thank everyone who attended (55 people to be exact!) for making me feel apart of the family. As soon as I met them at the airport, I was greeted with hugs and kisses and it never stopped during the whole week I was there! I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch for my first wedding outside of Canada!

Nikyla and Kenny met while being initiated during their 1st year at St. Francis Xavier University years ago. Their friendship grew and blossomed into love a year later. Their feelings for each other are so evident when they are together, they make a perfect couple if I do say so myself ;) I am so happy to have been apart of their magical wedding!

Also, I am extra excited to post these pictures up as it is Nikyla’s birthday today! Happy birthday Nik!

Gone but not for long!

I am off to shoot a destination wedding down South. I will be back on Sunday, April 26th. If you have emailed me during this time, please be patient as I might not reply right away. I am planning on checking my emails just a couple times throughout the week.

Also, a quick heads up that I am completely booked for weddings in the summer. Here is what’s left in terms of bookings for 2009:

November: 3 bookings left (any weekend)

December: 2 bookings left (any weekend)

Now if you’ll excuse me – I have a date with the sun ;) haha!

Julie :: Maternity

I was an only child until I turned 8 years old. Then unexpectedly, I gained an older sister…

Julie is an extraordinary woman. She is beautiful inside and out and there’s so many things about her that I look up to. Watching her glow through her 8 months of pregnancy so far has been very exciting and I was delighted to shoot her maternity pictures.

I can’t wait to meet the little one and finally be Auntie Melissa!

These shots were taken at one of my favorite locations ever – an old abandoned house in Manotick.
