Memories are perhaps the best gifts of all…
I am always struggling with gift ideas at Christmas time (or anytime for that matter). Each & every year it gets harder and harder. Well, if you’re having as much trouble as I am, I might just have the answer for YOU!
I am now offering gift certificates for sessions!!! Think about it…your sister is pregnant and needs shots of her beautiful belly or your parents are celebrating their 25th, what better idea then to give them a portrait session with Melissa Ann Photography!? Ok this is starting to sound like an infomercial…Haha!
They are good for any lifestyle session (maternity, engagement, family, etc.) and are valid for one full year.
Contact me at info@melissannphotography.com to purchase your certificate and I’ll even hand deliver them to you
Alex :: Lifestyle
Alex is a great singer and her teacher was my singing teacher many moons ago. Ha! I sound so old…Alex lets off a certain vibe, she’s beautiful and has a wonderful spirit. I had a fun time getting to know her and her style of music (what was that called – Old Fashioned French Cabaret?) Haha! I have no doubt in my mind that Alex will achieve everything she puts her mind and soul to…goodluck with everything Alex and thanks for being so patient when it comes to this post!
This next shot is by far one of my all time favorite! Isn’t she GORGEOUS!?!
Hmmm…I really rocked those horizontal pics this time eh? haha!
Weekly findings :: Nine
I am alive! I’m back from Toronto and had a great time seeing friends and taking pictures.
My weekly findings this week is a couple pictures I took when I was down there. These pictures were taken in the ‘Le Méridien King Edward Hotel’. This elegant hotel is over a hundred years old and still hosts visitors from all over the world. However, people have no idea the treasure that lies on the very top of this grand historical building…the Great Crystal Ballroom. It was completely abandoned in the late 1950’s but when I stepped foot into this room, I couldn’t help but hear the sound of the music that once played and imagine the people laughing, dancing, and talking over drinks wearing their exquisite gowns and suits. Now this lonely gem only sits there patiently, over looking the busy streets of the city, slowly shedding the layers of memories off her walls, hoping that one day – someone will come around and make her youthful again…
Jenna & Nizar :: Engagement
I had done a session with Jenna & Nizar this summer, and between that time and now, they got engaged! I actually asked them if they wanted to do another shoot as I am getting new products for my wedding packages and am presently in the midst of making designs for my sample wedding books. They are going to look awesome! And I couldn’t have asked for a better couple, I mean aren’t they perfect? I will be sure to show all of you the finishing product once they are done.
Right now, the trees are gorgeous. Clusters of reds, oranges and golds make for the perfect backgrounds for our fall sessions! And it only lasts a few weeks because Winter is just around the corner (and this year it seems to be coming faster then ever!?)
I chose this place for a reason. I discovered it once by just driving around one day with Jon one or two years ago and we would often go there to just take in the beautiful scenery. A couple months ago when we stopped by, we noticed that they were getting ready to build a highway through it! Can you believe that? Even the farms and homes there were all boarded up. It makes me sad to think how much us humans damage our planet, and one day, we’ll never have places like this to amire.
So, that’s why I brought Jenna & Nizar here, for the beautiful scenery that I once cherished so much, and it’s only going to be around for a few more months…
Alright, so here are the pictures. I went a little crazy with this post because I really couldn’t choose which ones I liked best.
You most likely saw these following 2 pictures in my new blog header!
