I am still alive! Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while. September has been INSANE for me, but already it’s almost over…where has the time gone?

The good news is that the whole time – I have been shooting. Although I might not have time to blog absolutely everything while I get my stuff organised, here is one post that I have been dying to blog!

I had an amazing time with Claudia and Mike last weekend. I went to little school with Claudia and haven’t seen her since 8th grade! When she contacted me, it was a great surprise and I was very excited to see her! Claudia hasn’t changed at all – she is still as beautiful as ever! Mike is hilarious and made the session so much fun! I have a gazillion favorites.

Have I ever mentioned that couples and engagements are my favorite type of session? Bring them on! (Could I have used any more exclamation marks in this post?) Hahaha you could never have too many of those!

I love this next shot…totally out of focus, the processing and the sunflare! One of my fave shots of the summer….look at the passion in his eyes!

Oh and you might soon notice a few changes to my blog, nothing major just cosmetic. I am also working very hard on finishing my site which has been under construction for the 2 months so stay on the look out for that!

I am back from attending The Secret Workshop last weekend. All I have to say, is that I have met some incredible people throughout the course of just a few days and have learnt a huge amount of great tips. I recommend the workshop to anybody!! I am trying to get back into the grind and reply to emails and calls. I am also going to get my duckies in a row and change some things when it comes to my business, but only for the better! You’ll be seeing quite a few changes, but like I said – only to benefit you all. Here’s a few things that will be changing:

- New pricing and packages

- New ordering system

- New products

- and more…

All these changes will take place for sessions in 2009.

Also a heads up – I just got an opening for the weekend of the 4th and 5th of October. If any of you are interested in a session for that weekend, email or call me quick!

Instead of posting my weekly findings this week, since I am swamped with things to finish up, here’s one of my favorite shots that I was able to capture over the weekend. We had the pleasure of shooting many gorgeous children from different age groups. Isn’t this little guy a charming?

This is just a heads up that I will be away from Sept 12th - Sept 15th (strictly for business purposes!). I will be attending ’The Secret Workshop’ in Boston with the one and only Cheryl Muhr. Cheryl is an amazingly talented photographer and business woman. She focuses mainly on newborns and children, but I am going to learn more about the business aspect of the industry. There will be 40 attendees and I am very excited to meet every single one of them. Cheryl will have a few guest speakers, many of which I look up to so you can just imagine how much I am looking forward to my weekend away!

That being said, I will be checking my emails and calls upon my return so please be patient! :D

I’ve known Karim for years. We were best friends back in little school. He’s the type of guy that even if you haven’t seen him in years, when you reunite, it’s like you never actually parted. Karim is by far one of the funniest people I have ever known, Najla is in for the ride of her life! Haha! I don’t remember a second spent with him that I wasn’t bent over dying from laughing cramps.

Najla is such a sweet girl and when I heard that they got engaged, my eyes teared up. They are a perfect match! Congratulations on your engagement guys, I only wish you 2 the best in the years to come

They are also VERY photogenic…Can you say H-O-T!?

A little beach action…oh and yes we do have beaches here in Ottawa for my readers down South haha!

Hey everyone! I have been very busy lately. The Russell Fair has started today (Russell is my home) and well I am going to be in the Art in The Park on Saturday. If any of you want to come for a visit, I’ll be there selling some of my art at the ‘MelissaAnn Photography’ tent of course  

Here’s an image that wasn’t intended to be such a great one, but more for the spectacular view. It was taken one morning from my car window! I just thought the sun was beautiful and wanted to capture what I saw when I woke up that morning. 

It’s a little dark and technically not a superb shot, but you get the jist of it.

I still have a session to post but that’ll be done after the weekend…talk to ya soon!
