Weekly findings :: the beginning

One of my most favorite things to do is to go on roadtrips, even if it’s not very far.  Jon (my man) loves to drive, I love to sight see, what a perfect match! ;)  Window down, feet on the dash , camera in hand – I am in heaven!

I take many pictures during these little excursions and I hate to just see them sit in a folder on my computer, so I decided that I will share them with you! Every week, I will share atleast one ‘finding’. The posts will be called ‘weekly findings’ and they will range from pictures of flowers, rusty cars, beautiful sunsets and lots more.

I am also working on making a coffee table book of all my findings later on this year so keep your eyes peeled for that. I think it’s important for me to take time out of my busy schedule to just stop and smell the old farm house air around here -  maybe you should think about doing the same!?

Here’s an image to start it off…

Tara & Cody :: Wedding

Tara & Cody make such a beautiful couple. I did their engagement session back in February and had a blast! It was the first time I met them and they were up for all of my crazy ideas. I definitely didn’t hesitate to say ‘yes’ when they asked me to do their wedding that day!

This was a very special day for me as well, because it was my very first wedding! I could never have asked for a better wedding party then this one to be my first, I had so much fun and could do it all over again!

I want to thank Chris, my second shooter, for helping me out. You’re awesome!

Here are a few teasers…

By far, one of my favorite pictures of all time!

I couldn’t resist…I ate one…

I don’t know why I love this picture as much as I do…reminds me of a dream!

Welcome!

Hello everyone,

I am so excited to introduce you to the new me. Well..the ‘real’ me. I went through a huge transformation because I realised that I came out of my comfort zone just to please others, and I forgot what I really wanted to do in the first place.

It is very important to just be yourself and follow your dreams. That’s why my whole look has made a complete 360. The site, the blog, the logo, everything is transformed into what I really want to represent in my work and I LOVE IT! It’s definitely staying :)

Jasmine Star says it best in her article about branding. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she gives great advice too!

A huge thank you goes out to my dear Tracy who made my logo and branding a reality. She was great to work with and I am happy that I made a friend out of it all as well.

I would also like to thank Heather for helping me out with little tweaks here & there. I have no idea what I would do without her -  she is a web wiz!

Anyway, keep checking in as I will be posting session teasers, contests, links to exciting stuff and more! I’d love to hear from you all too, so please leave me comments or emails!
