Ooh la la another Boudoir Marathon!

*** This post will stay on top for a while, scroll down to view newest sessions and business info ***

I’d like to share a beautiful testimonial from a former boudoir marathon attendee that really touched my heart. I love to hear feedback from my girls who have had a wonderful time at these shoots. My goal is to make them feel beautiful inside and out and I feel like I have accomplished that when I hear things like this:

“Passion. Emotion. Feeling. Sensuality. Feminity. A few of the more than 1 000 words that come across the pictures taken by Melissa during my boudoir photoshoot. Melissa’s love of photography comes through as she clicks away and eases through the photo shoot by talking, laughing and engaging with her client. It is clear to see that Melissa’s lovable and quirky personnality defines her work yet making the photo shoot comfortable and enjoyable. Having the opportunity to come out of my shell and capture the essence of my soul and inner self has proven to be an outstanding experience that I would love to live again”. – Camille

Thank you so much for that very touching email Camille, I truly appreciate it!

And on that very special note, I am announcing my next boudoir marathon dates! I have had so many inquiries about when I would be having my next one I decided to announce it extra early this time.

Kristy & Joe :: Wedding

Kristy and Joe are one of the sweetest couple I’ve ever met. When they are together, they shine. You can see it by the sparkle in Kristy’s eyes and in Joe’s smile when they are near each other. The weather forecasters were predicting a miserable rainy day but instead the rain held off just long enough for the ceremony and pictures. The gorgeous Italian ceremony was held at St. Anthony’s Church in Ottawa and the reception took place at the Centurion banquet hall where everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal. It was a pleasure to be part of their celebration!

Chantal & Jon :: Wedding

Where to begin? A Congolese church choir at the ceremony, a photo session at the Canadian Aviation Museum to a floating reception on the Ottawa River barely begins to sum up Chantal and Jon’s wedding day. It’s not often I see so many diverse events happening in one day but everything went off without a hitch for this newly wed couple. It was really great to see how excited their family and friends were to celebrate their love for each other. I fit right in with these people and honestly think that Chantal and I would have made such good friends, until I found out she was packing her bags and moving to Dallas with Jon after the wedding. I’m glad I was part of their gorgeous day nonetheless.

I know Chantal likes textures and bright colours, so these two are for her – Isn’t she beautiful!?

First, we went to Canadian Aviation Museum for a few pictures.

Then to an orchard to finish off the shoot.

Onto the boat we go for their reception and after party.

And I leave you with some sparkler fun!

Candice & Dexter :: Engagement

Candice and Dexter decided to have their engagement session at the Museum of Civilization. I was excited because I actually have never photographed a session or a wedding there before, which is suprising because it is such a nice location. I had so much fun chatting and laughing with the two of them.I’ll never forget when Candice went to the washroom to change, I asked Dexter how Candice and him met. His eyes lit up and he was so thrilled to tell me their story. They are both so lucky to have each other and I am really excited for their wedding in September.

Chantal & James :: Wedding

I don’t really have a good excuse for neglecting the blog besides being busy…I feel terrible but to make up for it, I will be posting lots in the next few weeks, so check in often! Now onto one of my many beautiful June weddings…

No words can explain how much I LOVED Chantal and James’ wedding. Chantal and I both have a strong love for antiques, vintage and rustic things, which made the wedding extra special for me. The couple chose a great little venue in Cantley, Quebec called La Grange. While it wasn’t the biggest venue it was filled to the brim with all sorts of fantastic antique items. All the great stuff made for an excellent backdrop but the best part was their willingness to go along with anything I suggested, including a canoe ride on the Gatineau River! Being open to my ideas, makes for great pictures and I am ecstatic with the outcome.

This will be a long one just because I know Chantal has been waiting patiently ;)

And a few from the reception:
